Turning Dreams into Reality

Our world class training opportunities bridge the gap between grassroot rider and professional rider, making the best possible training accessible to absolutely everyone.

Created for riders by a rider, Callum Banfield had a vision and knew exactly what he would want out of a residential training stay, and beyond great training was an experience.

An experience that creates memories, forms friendships and simply puts the enjoyment back into this ever competitive world. Anyone in the equestrian world knows what a slog it can be, especially in the winter, and sometimes we all need reminding that owning, caring and competing our horses should be fun!

Founded in 2016, Banfield Equestrian now attracts riders of all levels from all around the country coming to experience the #BanfieldBubble and train with eventing's elite.

We are proud to provide training with six time Olympian Mary King, alongside daughter Emily; current World Champion, Ros Canter; Youth Performance Coach, Caroline Moore; Badminton 2019 Champion, Piggy French; Team GB Olympic rider, Gemma Tattersall, Olympic Show Jumper, Geoff Billington and more! Banfield Equestrian is the go-to place for some of the best equestrian training in the country.

"Motivation is chimp-driven. It is a feeling based on emotion. Motivation generally happens when there is a great reward to gain or when you are suffering so badly that you want things to change. Motivation is helpful to drive us on but it is not essential to success. It is unrealistic to expect to 'feel motivated' everyday, no matter what you are doing.

The problem with motivation is that it works on feelings from the chimp and these can shift very quickly.Commitment, on the other hand, comes from the human and does not depend on feelings. Commitment means following a plan even if you don't feel like it that day. For example, a surgeon can't say halfway through an operation, 'Do you know, I just don't feel motivated to finish this, so I'll stop now!' Motivation doesn't matter, it is commitment that will finish the operation."
